Which app for your family’s insurance, loans and records in Singapore?

Last updated 19 October 2026 · 6 minute read

The tools below are built around one person’s finances or policies. A family keeps more than that: each person’s policies, the home loan, the home items, and the papers someone will need one day. This page compares what each tool says it is for, using the company’s own description, and where a spreadsheet or FamilyHub SG fits.

The short answer

These are different jobs, and you can use more than one.

What each one says about itself

Seedly

Seedly’s App Store listing calls it a free personal finance app, and describes a Singapore community, money guides and an expense tracker. It says you can sync transactions from several banks and cards, or enter expenses by hand, and set a monthly budget. The listing does not mention tracking insurance policies or loans, or sharing with family. Seedly may offer more than its listing says, so check its own site.

Planner Bee

In a company press release dated 13 September 2026, Planner Bee describes itself as an insurance comparison and advisory platform. It says it compares 29 insurers and more than 500 products, with licensed representatives helping from comparison and application through renewals and claims. The same release says it launched in 2020 to give users a view of their insurance policies in one place.

PolicyPal

PolicyPal’s App Store listing says you can manage your whole insurance portfolio on one platform by taking a photo and having your policies digitised. The listing also says the group includes an insurance broker and exempt financial adviser licensed by MAS, and that the app has helped over 100,000 users since 2016. That is the company’s own claim.

DBS NAV Planner

DBS announced NAV Planner on 29 April 2020. The announcement says it sits inside DBS/POSB internet banking and the digibank app, and shows a personal balance sheet of savings, loans, insurance protection plans and investments held with the bank. Customers can add outside holdings. That is a launch announcement from 2020, so features may have changed.

A spreadsheet

A spreadsheet does exactly what you build, costs nothing, and stays on your computer if you want. It does not warn you when something is due unless you build that too. If you are starting from nothing, our free family records spreadsheet gives you the headings. A feature-by-feature comparison with an app is on its own page.

What a family needs that one-person tools describe less

None of the four descriptions above talks about a household sharing one set of records. A family often needs:

SGFinDex can pull some of your own bank, CPF and insurance data into the apps that connect to it. How that works, and what it leaves out, is covered in our guide to tracking your family’s insurance policies.

Where FamilyHub SG fits

FamilyHub SG is a web app that works in your phone or computer browser. A household shares one set of records: insurance policies, loans, property, savings, investments, cards, and home items with photos. You can attach documents, set reminders, and give each person edit or view-only access. Net worth and cash flow charts are worked out from what you enter.

It does not connect to your bank, so you type your records in once. Reminders show inside the app, with no email or phone alerts yet. It is free while in beta and pricing has not been set. It does not sell or advise on insurance. Your data is stored online in Singapore, and the founder and one IT developer can access stored data to run the service. See the privacy policy.

Questions

Can I use more than one of these?

Yes. Many people keep daily spending in Seedly or their bank’s app and the family’s records somewhere shared.

Do I have to type everything into FamilyHub SG?

Yes. You enter each policy, loan and item once. After that the due dates, totals and charts are worked out for you. You can export everything to Excel at any time.

Is FamilyHub SG free?

It is free during the beta. Pricing for later has not been set.

Why are some boxes in the table a dash?

I only used what each company says about itself on the page I link below. If a page does not mention a feature, I did not guess.

Try it with the sample family

You can look around FamilyHub SG with a made-up family before you enter anything of your own.
